Users - How to get started:

Browse our list of businesses to find what you’re looking for. Find a business you want to know more about; click on the business name and you will find their profile information, which may include: name, address, phone number, hours of operation, business description, rates, and an interactive map with driving and transit directions. But that’s not all; added features include; social bookmarks, photo galleries, videos, blogs, rating systems, event listing and COUPONS. You can get involved by rating your experience with a business, and posting a comment. Share FLOOPLA, just click on ‘invite a friend’ and send or you might like to browse and participate in the community forum.

- browse companies
- click on name to view full profile
- view information, interactive map, pictures, blog, videos, coupons, events
- view coupons, print and redeem at business locations
- invite a friend to visit FLOOPLA
- post a comment on a company blog or in the community forum
- send an email to a business
- rate a business and post a comment
- search coupons via coupons (in menu) OR select a company listing and search only that company’s coupons
- search events via events (in menu) OR select a company listing and search only that company’s events
- search blogs via blog entries (in menu) OR select a company listing and search only that company’s blog entries
- search videos via video entries (in menu) OR select a company listing and search only that company’s video entries
- view the community forum (in menu), read entries, post a new thread or post a comment to an existing thread

We made sure that your FLOOPLA experience will be simple.

How to get started:

Click on ‘Business Sign Up’ and fill in the various information fields. An asterisk indicates a required field. The rest of the fields you may include at your discretion. Once you sign up, you will have your own ‘business area’. Once you have registered, now you may add an image/logo as identification and update your profile information as required. In this area you may also choose to create your own business picture album, blog, event listing and coupons. Announce your specials, sales, events, anniversary celebrations. Invite a friend/business to join FLOOPLA. You may receive email via your business listing account. Check out how customers/visitors are rating your business with the star system, what comments visitors are leaving, and how many views your profile has received. Everything is right at your fingertips, at the click of a mouse. Of course watch for your printed coupons to be redeemed by your visitors.

Blog:
- click on ‘My Blog’
- click ‘Add a new post to your blog’
- fill in the fields
- click ‘submit’
- review your posts when you click on ‘My Blog’
- delete or edit posts at your convenience

Photo Gallery:
- click on ‘My Picture Album’
- click on ‘Add a new picture album’
- fill in the fields to create an album
- click ‘submit’
- click on the album icon
- click on ‘add a new picture’ (.jpg, .gif, .png)
- browse your computer for the picture file, fill in the fields, click ‘submit’
- review your albums and pictures when you click on ‘My Picture Album’
- delete or add albums/pictures at your convenience

Coupon:
- click on ‘My Coupons’
- click on ‘Create a coupon’
- fill in the fields to create a coupon
- click ‘submit’
- review your coupons when you click on ‘My Coupons’
- delete or edit coupons at your convenience
     >* if you indicate an ‘end date’ for your coupon, that coupon will automatically be hidden/not visible to visitors upon the end date.
- visitors may view your coupons, click to print coupons of their choice and redeem at your location.

Events:
- click on ‘My Events’
- click on ‘Create an event’
- fill in the fields to create an event
- click ‘submit’
- review your events when you click on ‘My Events’
- delete or edit events at your convenience
     >* if you indicate an ‘end date’ for your event, that event will automatically be hidden/not visible to visitors upon the end date.

Videos:
- click on ‘My Videos’
- click on ‘Share a Video’
- fill in the fields to share a video
- to find the video code, open You Tube via the link on the form
      > find the You Tube video you want to share , copy the video code
      > i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlW4ZiqEQ8M. (The code = we noted in red)
- when complete, click ‘submit’
- review your videos when you click on ‘My Videos
- delete video or edit video information at your convenience

Other features:

When you are logged in, you may visit any other business listings and you will notice the link “Send a message to ______” at the top left of that company’s profile page. If you send a message to a company while you are logged in to your own account, you will find a copy of that message in your ‘sent’ box.

When you are logged in, you can easily see if you have a new message or a new request to become a neighbour. New emails and neighbour requests are noted in blue font under your company name, on the right hand side. Click on the New Message link to jump to your email area. You may reply to an email message if you choose.

Click on the Neighbour Request to jump to that request. You may accept or reject the request. If you accept, you will notice your neighbour’s image on the right hand side of your business listing control panel and they will have your image on their profile page. By clicking ‘neighbours’ in the top menu you may view all of your chosen/accepted ‘neighbours’. You may also use the search function to find a specific business, or leave the field blank, click search and you will see all the other businesses along you’re your chosen neighbours. You may invite any business to become your neighbour via the link on their image. Alternately, when you visit another business listing feel free to ask them to become one of your neighbours by clicking the link at the top left of their profile page. They may choose to accept or reject.
